• Handled several thousand fish of various species in order to determine the migration patterns of Fundulus heteroclitus  

• Became familiar with ethical anesthetic and minimally invasive surgical procedures within a sample size of ~4,000 Fundulus heteroclitus

• Executed demanding labor in physically taxing temperatures and environmental conditions

• Cooperated with a partner and on a larger team of up to six other individuals to accomplish established tasks and solve unexpected problems that arose in the field

• Travelled around the state of Virginia to various High School level meets on a volunteer basis to judge the speeches, dramatic presentations, and persuasive arguments of young public speakers

• Used personal experience of four years as a competitive public speaker to provide constructive feedbacks, tips, and accurate scores to students

• Helped students from my alma mater on a one on one basis in order to improve their confidence levels and public speaking skills in competitive categories such as “dramatic interpretation”, “extemporaneous speaking”, and “poetry and prose”

Assistant Director

Stagelights Summer Camp                                                                                                                                                 Summer 2014

• Ensured the safety and theatrical education of children ages six to thirteen during the summer camp’s production of “Winnie the Pooh” through communication with parents and guardians, as well as with the director to become aware of any existing learning disabilities, allergies, or other factors that had the potential to cause complications

• Built props, costumes, and set pieces for the production from donated or otherwise located resources over a period of three weeks

• Adapted to manage the technical aspects of the show, such as lighting and music in an unfamiliar auditorium setting
